      Benefits

Living with pain is an all too often distressing experience. The distress of living with spinal pain can be worsened when people are left feeling stuck in the middle between opposing clinical opinions, differing diagnoses and conflicting clinical outlooks. This unfortunate situation is often magnified when we consider the impact of threatening words, medical tests, various opinions from family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, and unhelpful yet highly toxic internet information.

As a clinician, the ability to successfully guide people through this complex and confusing landscape of conflicting beliefs requires teaching, coaching and communication skills. This interactive, live online course explores a range of practical applications and innovative learning methods to help you develop your teaching and communication skills so that you may guide people towards a more hopeful and confident future.

The course content is relevant for all healthcare professionals with a practical blend of contemporary evidence from both educational and healthcare literature. Throughout the course you will have a variety of opportunities to apply your learning through patient case studies. You will be able to discuss and reflect with other clinicians so that you can overcome common challenges that arise in practice when attempting to help make sense of spinal pain.
