Upon completion of this course, participants will learn:

  • Identify how we currently manage symptoms of pain, pelvic health concerns, and
performance limitations in the people who seek our care, and consider our pre-existing biases and beliefs.
  • Briefly review the evidence surrounding current clinical practice, as well as the principles that will be put forth in this course.
  • Establish understanding of the TIIPPSS-FC framework: what it is and how you can apply it across various clinical situations and practice settings - whether it’s the clinic, the gym, or across your screen on telehealth.
  • Demonstrate application of TIIPPSS-FC through a combination of case studies and/or live interactive demonstrations.
  • Apply TIIPPSS-FC to your own body to experience how changing these variables,
including the HOW of movement, may impact the lived experience within your own body.
  • Learn how we can move assessment and treatment for pelvic health considerations off the treatment table and into the activities and exercises that our clients wish to do.
  • Practice assessment, including subjective component and movement analysis.
  • List all the different factors to consider when seeking to change pain, pelvic floor
symptoms, or performance in the short term, as well as the longer term.
  • Identify various factors that can influence sensitivity and dial symptoms up or down
  • Learn how to apply load management and progressive overload principles when
    considering fatigue and capacity.
  • Discuss avoid versus expose and how to manage flare ups.
  • Consider how pain science principles can be interwoven into our assessment and
    treatment approaches.
  • Practice treatment planning using the TIIPPSS-FC approach.

Benefits

Do you ever struggle to incorporate and integrate ALL the things - pain and symptom science, movement analysis, and exercise principles - within a whole person approach? What if there was a framework that simplified this for you, giving you a workable and adaptable approach, rather than a recipe system of rules that don’t work for everyone?
What if you could expand your realm of possibilities for quickly generating meaningful change in symptoms and performance in the people you work with? This course will give you the freedom to look at your clients’ complaints with a wider lens - to help more people more efficiently than before.

Join us to REFRAME your assessment and treatment approach for individuals with pain, pelvic health complaints, or performance limitations using the simple and adaptable TIIPPSS-FC framework. In this extremely practical course, you will apply and expand your knowledge of pelvic health, pain, and exercise science using a biopsychosocial approach. Whether you work in a clinical or fitness/sports setting, you will find this framework immediately applicable for those across the spectrums of age, ability, and goals.

You will learn:

  • how to assess various components of movement such as tension, impact, posture/position, pressure, strategy and more
  • when and how to modify these factors to change the client’s experience in the short term while building capacity over the long term
  • when and how to address nervous system sensitivity
  • how to apply the TIIPPSS-FC framework to a number of movements including running, skipping, lifting, and everyday tasks.

BONUS: Research Review - an additional 2hr of pre-recorded content providing a digestible overview of applicable research evidence
