Benefits
Do you understand the role of the vagus nerve in stress resilience? This course is both a theoretical and practical look at understanding the autonomic nervous system and how it influences our biopsychosocial health and well-being.
Dr. Marlysa Sullivan has significant expertise in neuroception, looking at subconscious perception of threat and safety and how this activates the autonomic nervous system. Participants will apply their knowledge of the autonomic nervous system to help facilitate body-mind regulation and resilience for biopsychosocial well-being in pain care.
Take a deep dive into the fascinating world of regulating the nervous system through the vagus nerve. This is the “science course” that you have been waiting for! Do you understand the neuroscience of pain regulation as well as you understand the pathology of rotator cuff tears? If not, this is the course for you!
This live, 8-hour course is designed for licensed healthcare professionals—particularly physical and mental health professionals, and integrative health professionals including yoga therapists and meditation teachers
Evidence-based assessment and treatment techniques will be emphasized. Participants will learn to apply practices for autonomic regulation and resilience in pain care to help promote biopsychosocial well-being
