Benefits

“Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome is referred to me so infrequently, I rarely treat it…”

That’s what I thought. I was wrong. I now realise I’ve seen these patients every day for years…. they were hidden as other seemingly routine referrals who became the complex patients who didn’t improve.

Did you know a diagnosis of IC/BPS covers anyone who has had six weeks or more of pelvic pain anywhere, with associated symptoms of bladder urgency and/or frequency? Now think through your caseload of patients with prolapse, low back pain and urgency symptoms. These are also your vulvodynia patients who get worse with bladder filling or alongside UTI symptoms.

But this course is about more than just bladder pain. It is a strongly evidence-based approach to supportive, trauma informed care for all patients with pelvic pain.

Learn the evidenced, holistic skills you need to transform lives. You’ll walk away with a contemporary understanding of pelvic pain and no longer fear these complex cases. You’ll learn how to stage and maximise your body language and environmental cues to support a trauma informed, holistic assessment. Then you’ll discover which evidence-based manual therapies actually work for pelvic pain and how and why you can easily add state-of-the-art graded exposure techniques to take your treatment to the next level. We add a dash of how to promote cognitive flexibility and bring it all together in one package of healing & resilience. It's the full shebang of how to be a #BladderHero in clinic for all your pelvic pain patients. We’ll also have a lot of fun. Join our 650 strong tribe of International Heroes.

 * For practicing, licensed pelvic health physiotherapists and those with pelvic health therapy as part of their scope of practice.
